Tested the tracks of the third new stage of IronTour Cross scheduled for April 23 with departure and arrival on the charming beach of Barbarossa in the Municipality of Porto Azzurro.
The tracks are very scenic and equally challenging, with a positive drop of almost 500 meters for the MTB and a hundred meters for the running village. As for the MTB fraction, the track leaves a few stretches to breathe, a continuous ascent and descent from valleys and small-valleys with non-trivial traits, many single tracks both uphill and downhill but never too dangerous or impossible, all the same will lead to the last run fraction with the energies counted. The run fraction has a minimal slopes, alternate mixed asphalt and dirt roads, in the final part retraces the first km on the contrary already done with the MTB.
The photos below show some sections of the route tested on a rainy day.
New for 2018, the presence of the entire national off-road Triathlon national team, which at the IronTour Cross will use the event as a test for the new season.
During two of the five stages will also be present the coverage of SKY and Rai Sport.
